What treatments did you undergo during your journey? Chemotherapy and surgery.

What were your signs/symptoms leading up to your diagnosis? Weight loss, a lump on my neck, sleepy all the time, and falling when I would drink.

How did cancer alter your lifestyle? Everything changed. I was so upset about my hair but I got close to God and that really helped me. It was so hard to not cry in front of my son and losing friends was hard.

¿Cómo alteró el cáncer su estilo de vida? Todo cambió. Estaba muy molesta por mi cabello, pero me acerqué a Dios y eso realmente me ayudó. Fue muy difícil no llorar frente a mi hijo y perder amigos fue difícil.

What makes your story unique or helpful to others? I was felt by my boyfriend and I have met other people that also been though this. I feel like I can help them go though it and everything will be okay.

¿Qué hace que su historia sea única o útil para los demás? Mi novio me sintió así y he conocido a otras personas que también han pasado por lo mismo. Siento que puedo ayudarlos a superarlo y todo estará bien.

Any advice for those coming behind you? It’s scary but you got this. You may think you are alone but you’re not.

¿Algún consejo para los que vienen detrás de ti? Da miedo, pero tienes esto. Puedes pensar que estás solo pero no lo estás.

Do you have a funny cancer story? I remember having my first chemo and I thought, “Wow this does not feel like anything.” So I started to workout and clean when I remembered getting into the shower and I fainted. I thought that was funny!

¿Tienes una historia divertida sobre el cáncer? Recuerdo haber tenido mi primera quimioterapia y pensé: “Vaya, esto no se siente como nada.” Entonces comencé a hacer ejercicio y a limpiar cuando recordé de entrar en la ducha y me desmayé. ¡Pensé que era cómico!

Product or service that changed your life? Bossy Bows because it made me feel better and of course Brighter.

¿Producto o servicio que cambió tu vida? Bossy Bows porque me hizo sentir mejor y, por supuesto, Brighter.

How did you hear about Brighter? How has it made a difference? I learned about Brighter because of Viviana. It has made a difference in my life because I learned about other cancers and products I never knew about. I also meet other women like me that have gone though similar things but with very different stories and I love that.

¿Cómo se enteró de Brighter? ¿Cómo ha marcado la diferencia? Conocí Brighter gracias a Viviana. Ha marcado una diferencia en mi vida porque aprendí sobre otros cánceres y productos que nunca había conocido. También conozco a otras mujeres como yo que han pasado por cosas similares, pero con historias muy diferentes y eso me encanta.
