Brighter Magazine is the only lifestyle magazine specifically curated to meet the needs of a woman after a cancer diagnosis. Through the generous volunteered hours of specialists in oncology care and survivors, we bring you credible articles on subjects like hair loss, mental health, adaptive fashion, relationships and health literacy. Each article is written as one friend would speak to another. The Brighter community was thinking of our readers even before they were diagnosed, wanting to provide each woman with the resources she might need as she navigates life’s changes during and year’s beyond treatment.
Social Survivors is our in person program. Join us, once a month for a social gathering of women from diagnosis thoughout survivorship. We will share a meal and learn as a specialist or survivor shares their expertise and experiences with us. This is “where the magazine comes to life.” We will unbox the topics highlighted in Brighter, while giving you direct access to our community partners.
Our goal at Brighter is that every woman would have access to the resources she needs when she needs them, not after.
Not to be confused with influencers, the Brighter Ambassadors are women who put purpose to their pain by walking beside women coming behind them through their cancer experiences using social media platforms. Through partnerships with valued organizations, we provide survivors with gifted products and services that they are able to try and share (only if they feel they make or would have made a difference in their journey).
Listen to the Brighter podcast where we will share survivor’s stories of hope and encouragement, interviews with medical professionals, caregivers and family members as well as information about products and services that can east the secondary issues of a life with or after cancer.
Working with high school students has always been a priority since the inception of Brighter. As we have grown and diagnosis ages have lowered, it has become more important to educate and equip the next generation of women to be impacted by cancer while they volunteer for us during each summer. Join this team of amazing, driven young women as they gain business development while also being empowered to make the decisions that can have a positive impact on their tomorrow.
